Bakery Production
How Bakery Production Works
The full flow from Start Production through the availability check to Complete Production.
Bakery mode replaces simple restocking with a Production flow: you record what you make, check you have enough ingredients, and get an accurate cost per unit.
- Click Start Production. If your business day hasn't been opened yet, you'll be asked to record today's opening electricity meter reading first — this only needs to happen once per day, and unlocks production for the rest of the day.
- Pick the Recipe and Quantity. Choose what you're producing today and how many units.
- Watch the availability check. The system checks every ingredient the recipe needs against what you currently have in stock, showing each one as Needed vs In Stock.
- Restock anything that's short. Any ingredient marked "Not enough" gets an inline restock option right there, so you don't have to leave the page.
- Confirm you're ready. Once everything shows enough stock, you'll see an "Everything is Clear" banner and can click Start Production.
- Complete the production. When the batch is done, go to Complete Production to see the full cost breakdown — each ingredient's cost, summed to a grand total, divided by quantity to get your cost per unit.
- End your day. At close of business, click End Day to record your closing electricity meter reading — the day's electricity cost is then split evenly across everything you produced that day.
Tip: Manage Price on the finished product lets you review the system's suggested selling price (based on your real costs) and override it if you want a different margin.
