Understanding Business Categories in Ijisho
What Shop, Supermarket, Bar and Resto, Gym, and Bakery mode each change in the app.
When you registered your business on Ijisho, you chose a Business Category. This choice changes which menus, roles, and features you see — it's not just a label.
- Shop / Boutique. The default mode. Gives you Articles, Manage Prices, POS, Purchases, and standard Carton/Piece style units.
- Supermarket. Same core features as Shop mode, tuned for a larger product catalog and higher transaction volume.
- Bar and Resto. Adds the Kitchen Display, Bar Monitor, and Table management screens, plus service-staff roles like Waitress, Waiter, Bartender, and Kitchen Staff when adding users.
- Gym & Fitness Center. Replaces product-based inventory with member management: adding members, check-ins, membership plans, classes, and trainers.
- Bakery. Adds an ingredient, packaging, and production-expense builder to the Add Article form, since bakery products are usually made from a recipe rather than bought and resold as-is.
Note: Your business category is set when the account is created. Contact support if you need to switch modes on an existing account, since it changes what data you're expected to have (e.g. members vs. articles).
